Match times may change throughout the day depending on division sizes and event pace. Competitors are responsible for monitoring their schedule through Smoothcomp.

We strongly recommend arriving at least 90 mins before your scheduled division start time.

Immediately before every match, a tournament official will conduct a coin flip. The result of the coin flip will determine which ruleset will be used for that match.

POINTS: Modified UWW
SUB ONLY: Submission Only with PGF Overtime Rules

Both competitors will compete under the same randomly selected ruleset for that match.

Competitors are responsible for understanding both rulesets prior to the event. Detailed information will be listed on our Rules Page, and a rules meeting will be held at 9 AM before the competition begins.

The Lake Arrowhead Jiu Jitsu Open is sanctioned by USA Grappling, the largest grappling organization in the United States. As a result, all competitors are required to have a current USA Grappling membership to participate. Your membership is more than just an event requirement—members receive secondary sports accident insurance coverage and the opportunity to compete nationwide and represent Team USA on the world stage.
